CARDINIAN EMBROIDERY
Re-Mastering is truly
"the most exciting discovery in fine art since the original"
The Cardinian Embroidery Project is a Shire wide community arts project funded by VicHealth and Cardinia Shire Council.
The Cardinian Embroidery took two years and two months from start to finish.
114 workshops were held at 9 venues throughout the Shire and 8 communities held their own ongoing workshops in craft centres, community houses and private homes.
The embroidery consists of eight panels, each measuring 190cm in height and 140cm in width.
This project was one of the largest embroideries ever undertaken.
It was fitting that the team leaders went in search of an archiving process which could faithfully record every single thread and stitch.
It was also important that replica style reproductions on canvas could be produced.
Binary Master Art matched the accuracy and effort put in by the embroiderers by recording each of the eight panels with an ultra high definition scan system enabling impeccable reproductions.
